I was so lucky that my younger sister had her kids before I did, because she found me the best of “everything”… playgrounds, pediatricians and especially preschool. The Churchery Preschool is exactly everything you could ever want for your young children. The environment is warm and welcoming and safe. The curriculum is strong, but play-based so your children don’t even realize how much they are learning. And the teachers are the most amazing women in the world. These ladies love every student as if they were their own child/grandchild. They greet everyone with hugs each morning and make them feel so special. They meet their individual needs, wherever they are (and there is such a wide range at the preschool level). Everyone is truly supported, and they will become a part of your family, even long after your youngest child graduates. I am so thankful to have landed in this wonderful place with this incredible staff. I have never had a single moment of hesitation leaving my sweet babies in their very capable hands, and I am so very grateful that we have a few more years with them. I cannot recommend the Churchery Preschool highly enough, and there is truly no better place for your young children.

I first walked through the doors of the Churchery Preschool nearly 10 years ago holding the hand of my oldest daughter. I trusted the preschool would keep her engaged and safe while I had a couple hours to myself. Over the next several weeks, months and years, my expectations were quickly exceeded as Churchery became a second home for both me and my children. The teachers at the Churchery School are genuine and they will meet your child right where they are on any given morning. They provide loving snuggles for separation anxiety, a solid (yet flexible) routine for those who crave structure and pleasant distractions for the morning transition. Honestly, it’s as helpful for the parents as it is for the children.
Churchery, to me, has always felt like an “old school” preschool program - the kind we Gen Xers and Millennials attended back in our day. It is full of learning about physics through constructing block towers, building hand strength by squeezing play dough, and creating art out of all kinds of materials. The curriculum is play-based, where the kids learn as they go from teachers and peers alike. Learning about letters is incorporated into songs, show & tell, and craft projects rather than tracing on a worksheet. The teachers are as concerned with social and emotional development as they are with academics.
Following behind three of her older sisters, my fourth daughter will “graduate” from the Churchery Preschool this coming spring. My daughters run the gamut in both personalities and learning styles - and the Churchery preschool has found a way to connect with, cultivate, and challenge each of them. From an extroverted child on the gifted spectrum to an introverted clinger in need of confidence, the Churchery Preschool has prepared them all well for kindergarten and beyond.
My era at the Churchery Preschool is nearly over, but I will always be one of the school’s biggest cheerleaders and they will forever hold a special place in my heart. They help give children the love, support, safety and skills they need to grow into strong little humans.
